RELATED DOCUMENT LINK SYSTEM AND METHOD USING DICTIONARY FILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to call a related document efficiently without doing a search by relating every document that can be referred to from an arbitrary character string in a document via a network, and enable the user to set a relationship to a new saving location or the like by minimum changing operation when the saving location or the like of the related document is changed. SOLUTION: Information related to other documents is registered in advance in a file or the like 20 on a system from a screen 11. Arbitrary character strings in documents can be related to other documents from a screen 12 by reference to a program for searching the file or the like 20 centrally managing the registered information. By the central management of all the related information in the file or the like 20, simple changes of the managed related information from a screen 13 can change the relationships to other documents without changes of the related information in referring documents, and a search can be made for broken link information.
