PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detector, which aligns the rotating shaft with a center of an encoder disk (particularly metal-made) by using a simple method, which has high accuracy and low cost, and to provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing the detector, and also to provide a recording medium and image forming apparatus for use in the apparatus and method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The rotation angle detector 10 includes a roller 1; a rotating shaft 2 that is integrally attached to the roller 1; a disk support 3 for supporting and fixing an encoder disk 4 that is attached and fixed on the rotating shaft 2; the encoder disk 4, wherein a slit 7 for detecting the rotational position and a plurality of measurement marks 6 for detecting the center position of the encoder disk are formed on the surface; and a detection unit 5 for reading the slit 7 on the encoder disk 4. The plurality of measurement marks 6 are arranged on the top of regular polygon formed therearound, with the rotation center of the encoder disk 4 as the center of rotation.
