IDENTIFICATION METHOD OF OLIGOSACCHARIDE DERIVED FROM KERATAN SULFATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying accurately and quickly an oligosaccharide derived from keratan sulfate with a trace amount of sample. SOLUTION: In this identification method of the oligosaccharide derived from the keratan sulfate, a test oligosaccharide derived from the keratan sulfate is ionized by an electrospray ionization (ESI) method and subjected to a multistage mass spectrometry (MSnanalysis) to thereby analyze a sugar chain sequence. The method includes a process for acquiring spectrum data of molecular weight related ions by performing MS1analysis of the test oligosaccharide, a process for acquiring spectrum data of0,2Arions by performing MS2analysis of the molecular weight related ions acquired in the MS1analysis, a process for acquiring spectrum data of2,4Arions by performing MS3analysis of the0,2Arions acquired in the MS2analysis, and a process for performing MS4analysis of the2,4Arions acquired in the MS3analysis.
