The invention relates to end cap elements (22) and supporting elements (2, 2', 42) for bed frames and mattress cores. Said elements have segmented, arched, flexible, non-crossing and crossing bridges (1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51) whose ends can be connected to two adjoining end caps (22), supporting disks (2, 2', 42) or mattress spiral spring end rings (55) each so as to rotate and/or elastically deform. The segmented bridges (1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51) are produced from permanently flexible plastics or from spring metal wires or strips. The longitudinal centers of the bridges (1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51) are slidingly supported by or integrated into sliding blocks (5, 15, 25, 35, 45) that are fixed on retaining bolts, cross strips or supporting disks, or by means of spiral wires (54) in a mattress core. These elements, when inserted in bed frames and mattress cores, have a strong, interactive coupling force and a high negative and positive adaptation stroke h > H of the height of the structure, especially in a crossed arrangement of the bridges (1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51) in pairs and spaced-apart at a defined distance, said bridges sliding under end caps (22) and disks (2, 2', 42). The inventive elements are especially suitable for motorized bed frames with a large head and foot adjustment range and for cross-side rail versions. |
