The method creates a fastening point on panel-shaped materials (1) which have a core spot with a greater density than the covering layers such that after making a hole (2) through the covering layer, a hollow space is made by hollowing out the core spot and filling it with a free-flowing and hardenable filling matter. The diameter of the part undercut is several times larger than the diameter of the hole and of the depth of the core layer of material. Alternatively, the diameter of the undercut part is several times larger that the diameter of the hole bored through. Once the hollow space has been filled, it forms a fastening point.
