A method for manufacturing a stamper for the manufacture of a light guiding plate is provided to enhance the scattering of light, thereby improving the uniformity of brightness, by forming scratches as well as dot patterns on a surface of the stamper. A metal material(30) for forming a stamper is cut into a desired size(ST100). Scratches are formed on a surface of the metal material using a scraper consisting of a diamond grind tool or a metal mesh net(ST110). A photosensitive resin(36) is coated on the surface of the metal material(ST120). The photosensitive resin is partially exposed to a light for forming dot patterns(S130). The exposed portions of the photosensitive resin are removed through developing(ST140). The dot patterns are formed by etching the portions of the metal material, which are exposed by removal of the photosensitive resin(ST150). The remaining photosensitive resin is removed from the metal material(ST160). |
