<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent the condition of a door from being controlled in accordance with a response signal from a portable machine far away from a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In this vehicle equipment control system, the portable machine 1 and a unit on a vehicle side have GPS receivers 1c, 9, respectively, to obtain a portable machine position and a vehicle position. The portable machine 1 transmits a response signal including the portable machine position by responding to a request signal of the unit on the vehicle side. The unit on the vehicle side controls locking and unlocking conditions of a vehicle door in accordance with the results of check of ID codes included in the response signal so far as a case where it is determined that the portable machine position included in the response signal belongs to a prescribed area using the vehicle position as reference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
