<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment and a method for circulation treatment of dampening water which enable prevention of flaking of a roller over a long period without using a specific dampening water composition. <P>SOLUTION: A self-potential-difference generating device 6 which generates an electrostatic field in the direction intersecting the flow direction of the dampening water is provided in the middle of a circulation passage through which the dampening water is circulated. The self-potential-difference generating device 6 is constituted of an electrical insulation pipe 61 which forms a flow passage of the dampening water and of collective electrodes 62 which are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the electric insulation pipe 61 and formed of two kinds of conductive materials different in an electrochemical potential, and generates a potential difference without using an external power source. By making the dampening water flow through the flow passage of the electrical insulation pipe 61, a conductive coupling of the collective electrodes 62 is brought about through the intermediary of the dampening water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
