PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dub contents by an easy operation. SOLUTION: A DVD recorder-hard disk recorder 10 includes a remote control interface 38, an HDD 26, and a main controller 22. The main controller 22 generates information of a pointer signal indicating a position of a record in a hard disk 27 when instructions indicating a stop of a reproduction are accepted, and controls the HDD 26 so as to stop a read of the signal in a predetermined order. The main controller 22 controls the HDD 26 so as to restart the read when instructions indicating a record are accepted. The HDD 26 reads a digital signal from the hard disk 27 when instructions indicating the restart of reproduction are accepted, and records a signal read by itself in a DVD disk when instructions indicating the record are accepted.
