PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving imaging apparatus capable of photographing for a longer period. SOLUTION: An imaging device 22 in a camera 2 is provided with a plurality of pixels for generating charges based on a received light quantity and reads out charges from respective pixels to generate pixel signals. A light emitting element 3 irradiates the vicinity of eyelids of a user who puts a frame 1 with light. A light receiving element 4 receives light emitted from the light emitting element 3 to a user's face and reflected by the surface of the face, performs photoelectric conversion and outputs an electric signal. A control unit 5 detects the opened/closed state of the eyelids of the user fitting the frame 1 on the basis of the received light quantity of light received by the light receiving element 4 and controls the reading time interval of charges by the imaging device 22 in accordance with the opened/closed state of the eyelids.
