PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reception technology of a broadcast channel whereby user operations are more reduced and which can properly take measures against a case when broadcasting is stopped or discontinued. SOLUTION: A reception method includes: a step 35 of selecting a broadcast channel as a reception object when a prescribed selecting operation is carried out to select a broadcast channel assigned to any operating element; and a step S36 of selecting another broadcast channel with the same frequency as that of the broadcast channel assigned to the operating element as a reception object when the selective operation is applied to the operating element the same as the preceding operating unit. When the selected broadcast channel is not broadcast or the broadcast is interrupted or discontinued, the other broadcast channel is selected as the reception object in place of the broadcast channel.
