PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration proofing member and an optical disk device of which chassis is unlikely to cause deformation even by press fitting. SOLUTION: As for the vibration proofing member 1, in a first side cross section area 1a of an outer collar part, the distance from a cross section center axis 2 to a point of an outline 1f of the cross section form is different from the distance from the cross section center axis 2 to another point of the outline 1f of the cross section form, the distance from the cross section center axis 2 to the point of the outline 1f of the cross section form becomes longer as it becomes farther from the outer collar and has a maximum value and the distance from the cross section center axis 2 to a point of an inner line 1g of the cross section form is equal to the distance from the cross section center axis 2 to another point of the inner line 1g of the cross section form.
