PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and reliable scroll compressor by reducing leak loss at a sliding surface of an end plate of a turning scroll and an end plate of a fixed scroll and improving reliability of a sliding surface of the turning scroll and the fixed scroll under high compression ratio operation in relation to the scroll compressor used for a heating-cooling air conditioning device, a cooling device such as a refrigerator, or a heat pump type water heating device. SOLUTION: A communication passage 54 supplying oil 6 in a high pressure part 30 in a back surface of the end plate 13a of the turning scroll 13 to a back pressure space 29 is provided, and a part of the passage is formed in a restriction hole 57 having diameter of 0.2 mm or larger and 0.6 mm or smaller. Consequently, appropriate quantity of oil 6 is supplied to the back pressure space 29 and a compression chamber 15 and leak loss and intake heating are reduced to materialize improvement of compressor efficiency and high reliability.
