PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic electroluminescent element showing a blue luminescence by voltage application and a new coumarinylethyne gold complex useful as a luminescent material for an organic electroluminescent element. SOLUTION: The new coumarinylethyne gold complex is, for example, (4-trifluoromethyl-7-coumarinylethynyl)(triphenylphosphine) gold, etc. The organic electroluminescent element is obtained by using the coumarinylethyne gold complex.
