PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact lifter device attaining lifting operation of workpieces in a stable support state and reducing the number of parts and assembling load. SOLUTION: The lifter device 10 is equipped with bending prevention members 140, 140 in each of which a pair of workpiece lifting chains 130, 130 are driven in a pinched state for forward and reverse rotation by a pair of driving sprockets 120, 120 rotatable in forward and reverse directions and are arranged back-to-back each other. The bending prevention members 140, 140 are comprised of a number of blocks 141 disposed on drawing-in sides of the workpiece lifting chains 130 at an installation distance that is two times a chain pitch P, and lift support bars 142 disposed on paying-out sides continuous to the drawing-in sides and having a length corresponding to a chain upstanding state. The lifter device 100 lifts the workpieces W in the chain upstanding state in which the chains are paid out with the bending prevention members 140, 140 engaged with each other.
