PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain desired property for oil/water separation through suppression of a temperature rise of a liquid to be treated in a treatment tank. SOLUTION: An oil/water separating method comprises generating microbubbles in a liquid to be treated, which contains an oil content stored in a treatment tank 11(81), causing the oil content contained in the liquid to rise together with the bubbles in the liquid, and then separating the liquid into water and the oil content, whereby the liquid is caused to continuously circulate so that the whole liquid passes through and becomes exposed at a liquid surface 61 and that a temperature rise of the liquid in the treatment tank 11(81) is inhibited by water evaporation on the thus exposed liquid surface.
