PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a tilting driving mechanism of a rotary drum and a water receiving tub in a drum type washing machine of a rotating drum inclination angle variable type. SOLUTION: This drum type washing machine tiltably supports the water receiving tub 2 using a portion in a slightly rear side of a gravity position G with its attachments mounted thereon as a tilting axis, downward pulls the portion positioned in the rear part of the tilting axis of the water receiving tub with an operation wire 15 by the turning of an outer lid 17 and tilts the water receiving tub with a clothes loading entrance 2a side turned up.
