PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system capable of locating at a high accuracy by use of a reception signal intensity. SOLUTION: The radio communication system contains a plurality of base stations 2, a radio controller 3 for controlling the base stations 2, and a mobile station 4 for making a communication via the base stations 2 and a radio line, wherein the radio communication system locates the mobile station 4 based on a signal transmitted from the mobile station 4 to the base station 2, and the base stations 2 are disposed in a matrix-shaped lattice point. The radio communication system comprises: a reception signal intensity detecting means which is provided in each base station 2, for detecting a reception signal intensity of a signal transmitted from the mobile station 4 to the base station 2; a determining means for determining whether or not a signal intensity detected by the reception signal intensity detecting means exceeds a predetermined threshold value; and a mobile station locating means for calculating a value averaged by weighing position coordinates of the base station 2 in which an intensity of a signal received by the base station 2 from the mobile station 4 is a predetermined threshold value or more, as position coordinates of the mobile station 4.
