The seat has a swivel backrest (3,6) and leg support (4) and the seat surface is moved through a parallel guide rod system (17) whose upper longitudinal guide rods (19) are formed by the seat surface and whose lower rods (18) are parallel to the seat surface and fixed on a rotary frame (5). The backrest is connected to the remaining seat so that its swivel action is coupled to the movement of the seat surface. The backrest is connected through an elbow lever system (11, 14) or lever system (15) and preferably through a gas compression spring (13).
