<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner storage container that easily and effectively prevents erroneous detection of a toner quantity detection sensor by preventing formation of a developer bridge. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device 21 includes a casing 5, a cover 6, a first stirring screw 7, a second stirring screw 8, a developing roller 11, a regulating blade 12 and the T sensor 13 that detects a quantity of developer. A cleaning member 1 is disposed on the support shaft 7a of the first stirring screw 7, the cleaning member 1 being composed of a coil spring 1a, a locking part 1b and a first cleaning part 1c and used to clean the detecting face 13a of the T sensor 13 by rotating as the first stirring screw 7 rotates. The leading end of the first cleaning part 1c is bent at right angle twice, thereby forming a bent part 17 and a second cleaning part 18.
