<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus free from a productivity decrease even in the case that replenishment with a consumable item is not carried out in an expected manner, and to provide an image forming system. <P>SOLUTION: If a determination is made that the arrival of a consumable item is later than the time for the current consumed item to need to be replenished, based on information about the delivery of the consumable item, obtained from a management server 1, and time for the detected current consumable item to need to be replenished, the image forming apparatus is shifted to a saving mode by which the current consumable item is saved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
