<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample separation detecting chip for conveniently, inexpensively and rapidly separating and detecting a sample. <P>SOLUTION: A sample detecting method uses the sample separation detecting chip, provided with a first substrate formed with grooves and sample-introducing sections for electrophoresing the sample; a pair of first electrodes for commonly applying a first voltage to the grooves and electrophoresing the sample using the grooves; and a pair of second electrodes corresponding to the grooves, disposed downstream of the electrophoresis, applying a second voltage to the grooves and electrochemically detecting the presence of the sample. The samples are prepared, by conducting at least one or more dideoxy reactions.
