PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and restore the trouble of network equipment without spending a large amount of cost even on a large scale network or a wide area network. SOLUTION: This system consists of management PC 1 and the network equipment 2 which are arranged on a network 4, and a trouble detection/restoration device 3 which are placed on each of the network equipment. The trouble detection/restoration device 3 supplies power to the network equipment 2, then transmits a communication check command to the network equipment 2, determines to have a trouble and stops power supply to the network equipment 2 if there is no response in the transmission, again supplies power to the network equipment 2 after the lapse of a predetermined time period after the stopping of power supply and transmits the communication check command to the network equipment , determines that the trouble of the network equipment 2 has restored if there is a response, and resumes the transmission of the communication check command.
