PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plotting method capable of raising precision in plotting an image, while reducing a calculation cost, and to provide a plotting device. SOLUTION: The method includes a step S10 for generating a pixel in response to graphic information; a step S21 for determining the direction of a footprint which is obtained by projecting the pixel against texture, where the aggregation of texels is arranged in a uv coordinate; and a step S23 for sampling a mip-map by following an aeolotropic direction and performing texture mapping with respect to the pixel. The aeolotropic direction of the footprint is determined by comparing the lengths of at least three directions, which are mutually different, on the texture concerning the step S21 for determining the aeolotropy.
