PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus having a detaching mechanism capable of separating a plurality of cables by a simultaneous simple operation and capable of easily bringing the separated cables into independent states. SOLUTION: When a push button 95a is pushed down by a user, a rod 95b is pushed down, so that a frame member 91 is moved from a connected position, shown by a solid line, to a retracted position, shown by a chained line. Consequently, a connection end E6, etc., on the fixed side are located at the back of an interface panel member 41. On the other hand, an external cable connector 80 is held in the same position by a housing 85 serving as a restricting member. Accordingly, the connection end E6 on the fixed side and the connection end 83 on the detached side are disconnected to complete the separation of the external cable connector 80.
