PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent animation blurs or powdery finish, without deteriorating display quality in a display device, such as a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The display device divides one frame into a plurality of subframes and displays input video data by the total of the display of each subframe. The display device comprises a subframe data generating part 22 for generating subframe data that corresponds to each subframe, and a multi-gradation processing part 21 that is provided in a front stage or a rear stage of the subframe data generating part.
