PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air pollution degree detector capable of detecting easily a flying amount of pollen, dust or the like flying in the air. SOLUTION: A detecting part 5 impresses a direct current high voltage generated by an oscillation circuit 11, a piezoelectric transformer 12 and a rectifying circuit 13, to a detecting electrode 14, and detects and display a degree of air pollution, based on an attenuation rate per unit time of a negative potential of a negative electrode 14a caused by deposition of a particle such as the positively charged pollen, by exposing the negative electrode 14a to the atmospheric air.
