PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent positional displacement in the print dot position even under a state where the speed varies without requiring a print head moving region wider than the width of a sheet. SOLUTION: A print position management section 23 and an impact timing calculating section 22 are provided so that printing can be carried out even under a state where a print head 4 is stopping. Moving speed of the print head 4 is detected at an impact timing, a decision is made whether the displacement of print dot is in a tolerance limit or not based on a predicted speed and the detected moving speed, and retrial processing is performed if it deviates from the tolerance limit.
