PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip section rod smoothly bending by the hit of a fish and lithely resisting the drag of the fish while suppressing the deformation and breakage at the joint part. SOLUTION: A plurality of reinforcing patterns 5 are arranged in a manner to be superposed to the inside/outside layer constituted by a main pattern 3. At least one of the reinforcing patterns 5 is placed at the intermediate part of the inside/outside layer and the reinforcing pattern 5 is composed of a superposition of a prepreg containing a reinforcing fiber group c aligned along a prescribed inclination angleθrelative to the rod shaft axis X and a prepreg containing a reinforcing fiber group c aligned in a manner to be symmetrical to the reinforcing fiber group c of the prepreg with respect to the rod shaft axis X.
