A fuel cell current density distribution measurement procedure uses orthogonal copper contact wire grids (x(i), y(i)) matching the segment impedance on opposite sides of a segmented plate with two additional contacts (x(r), y(r)) to a reference segment to measure the potential differences and derive the current density distribution.
