<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball where weather resistance, scratch resistance, etc. of a coating film are improved and costs for manufacturing is reduced while keeping desired blue and white appearance by containing a small amount of a fluorescent brightening agent respectively in a cover layer, a primer coat layer, and a clear coat layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the golf ball having a core and the cover layer, the cover layer has the transparent primer coat layer and a transparent clear coat layer at the outermost part. The cover layer, the primer coat layer, and the clear coat layer contain the fluorescent brightening agent respectively. The cover layer contains the fluorescent brightening agent of 0.01 to 0.1 wt.% of solid contents of the cover layer. The primer coat layer contains the fluorescent brightening agent of 0.03 to 0.08 wt.% of solid contents of the primer coat layer.
