EMULSIFIER MIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsifier mixture which makes it possible to produce high viscosity O/W emulsions and enables the production of more stable and more sensorily light cosmetics or medicinal preparations in smaller wax amounts than those of known products.

SOLUTION: This emulsifier mixture for producing cosmetics and/or medicinal preparations comprises (a) 43 to 99 wt.% of an alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside represented by formula (I): R1O-[G]p(I) [R1is a 16 to 54C alkyl and/or alkenyl; G is a 5 or 6C sugar unit; (p) is the number of 1 to 10], and (b) 57 to 1 wt.% of a fatty alcohol represented by formula (II): R2OH (R2is a straight chain or branched 16 to 54C aliphatic hydrocarbon group having zero to three double bonds).
