<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with the information that is interlocked with the content of a book, by using other information transmitting means. <P>SOLUTION: A page detecting part 10 determines a section to which a page now being opened belongs, by means of a hole opened in the page and a photosensor provided at a back cover. Next, a timer part 106 judges whether a prescribed time has passed or not. In the case when the prescribed time has passed, a control part 11 specifies the kind of fragrance and a piece of music corresponding to the section. A fragrance generating part 12 generates the fragrance of the determined kind, while a musical sound-producing part 13 reproduces the determined piece of music.
