PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission system in which an image output from an output unit is hardly confused even if external noise etc. is mixed in a signal in a header region when a packet is transmitted. SOLUTION: A transmitting set 4 converts an image signal C and synchronizing signals A, B which consist of a vertical synchronizing signal B and a horizontal synchronizing signal A into packets, and transmits the packets to a receiving set 5. The transmitting set 4 has a packetizing means. In the packetizing means, the image signal C is divided for one frame and assigned for a data region D of each packet. The synchronizing signals A, B are assigned to a header region H of each packet, so that the vertical synchronizing signal B is transmitted for every frame and the horizontal synchronizing signal A is transmitted for every line. The packetizing means has a vertical synchronizing signal repetition means which performs multiple times series transmission of the vertical synchronizing signal B for every frame.
