PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission/reception system in which security can be sustained in the transmission/reception process of image information while obtaining the merit of transmitting/receiving image information through utilization of network (transmission of a large volume of data), and to provide an image transmitter and an image receiver for use in the image transmission/reception system, and a program through which a computer executes processing as an image transmitter or an image receiver. SOLUTION: A multifunction machine X1 divides image information into first partial image information and second partial image information, records the first partial image information in a portable recording medium such as a USB memory, and transmits the second partial image information to a personal computer Y1 through Ethernet N.
