PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval device capable of retrieving an electronic document without designating the start date of a retrieval period and to provide a program. SOLUTION: This information retrieval device 100 is provided with an input/output part 110, an information retrieval part 120, a calendar 130, a storage device 140, and a database 150. The information retrieval part 120 defines the retrieval day to be outputted from the calendar 130 as the initial date for reckoning to calculate the last day of a retrieval period inputted from a personal computer 300 from the length of the retrieval period, and performs retrieval by defining a period between the initial date for reckoning and the last day as a retrieval period. Thus, it is possible to retrieve an electronic document in the predetermined retrieval period without designating the start day or end day of the retrieval period. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
