PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which a sense part capable of reading in a sense signal with a sufficient temporal margin and minimizing distortion due to a common voltage is incorporated, and a driving method thereof. SOLUTION: The display device has a display panel having a plurality of image scanning lines and a plurality of sense scanning signals, a plurality of display parts coupled to the image scanning lines, a plurality of sense parts which are coupled to the sense scanning lines and output element output signals in response to a touch from outside, an image scanning part which applies image scanning signals to the image scanning lines, a sense scanning part which applies sense scanning signals to the sense scanning lines, and a signal control part which controls the image scanning part and sense scanning part to operate at mutually different time duration.
