PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner superior in the dispersibility of a coloring agent and the charging properties, and to provide a developer that contains the toner. SOLUTION: The toner is obtained at least by the emulsification or dispersal in an aqueous solvent and comprises a binding resin, a coloring agent, and a dispersant that disperses the coloring agent. The binding resin contains 50 wt.% or higher and 100 wt.% or lower of a polyester resin, and the surface of the coloring agent is acid-processed. The acid number value of the dispersant is 0-30 mg KOH/g, and the amine valuer of the dispersant is 1-100 mg KOH/g. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
