PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a core from projecting due to a difference in a thermal expansion coefficient between the core and a clad. SOLUTION: An optical fiber 12 is located by insertion in almost a cylindrical ferrule 22 in which the optical fiber 12 is locatable by insertion. A glass core 13 is exposed at a tip part of the optical fiber 12, and the exposed glass core 13 is bonded to the inner peripheral part of the tip part of the ferrule 22 via an adhesive 16.
