PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear of an internal combustion engine enabling the suppression of biased abrasion. SOLUTION: This valve gear comprises a rocker arm 30. The rocker arm 30 is so formed that its one end is supported on a lash adjuster 26 and its other end is brought into contact with the valve system 12 of an engine valve. The engine valve is openably driven by swinging the rocker arm 30 by the rotation of a cam. A valve stem 12 is engaged with the contact part 34 of the rocker arm 30 through a stem cap 18. The stem cap 18 is rotatably installed between the valve stem 12 and the rocker arm 30. The stem cap 18 is formed in such a shape that its relative position to the valve stem 12 can be changed according to its rotation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
