PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dampening water from being degraded by a separated foreign substance and thereby, prolong the active life of the dampening water. SOLUTION: This intermediate tank comprises a water running tank 24 with its lower part connected with the side of a connecting part 9a for draining the dampening water from a water trough 9 and its upper part connected with the side of a connecting part 9b for water supply of the dampening water to the water trough 9, and a filter part 23 which is arranged inside the water running tank 24 and equipped with a large number of particulate members 31 suspended in the dampening water. In addition, inside a water running tank 44, a filter part 43 is installed which is equipped with almost U-shape dampening water flow paths 47A to 47C having first water running parts 48A to 48C extending downward with their respective upper parts connected with the side of the connecting part 9a for draining the dampening water from the water trough 9, and upward extending second water running parts 49A to 49C for running the dampening water, which have their respective lower ends communicating with the first water running parts 48A to 48C and are formed on the side of the connecting part 9b for water supply of the dampening water to the water trough 9.
