PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a driver's seat capable of suppressing unnecessary projection and securing thickness in the vicinity of the center of an airbag in an initial stage of expansion of the airbag. SOLUTION: The airbag 46 of the airbag device for the driver's seat is stored in a way that a carbody-side wall part 51 and a driver-side wall part 47 are overlapped and spread flat, and the airbag is folded in three steps so that widths between edges of outer peripheries in a diameter direction with a gas opening 53 as the center are reduced. In a first step of the folding, the carbody-side wall part 51 and the driver-side wall part 47 are overlapped and spread flat, and then right and left edges 62 and 63 are folded toward the carbody-side wall part 51. In a second step of the folding, front and rear edges 67 and 69 are folded toward the carbody-side wall part 51. In a third step, widths X and Y left unfolded in the first and second steps are folded so as to be bent toward the driver-side wall part 47.
