<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, an apparatus, a program and a recording medium for selecting learning images suited for learning from a plurality of images to be processed, and a method, an apparatus, a program and a recording medium for creating an image processing algorithm capable of efficiently creating an excellent image processing algorithm. <P>SOLUTION: Based on processed images obtained by subjecting a plurality of images to be processed to image processing, one or more inspection areas are sequentially set within each of the images to be processed prior to the image processing, and boundary pattern data serving as data for selecting learning images are calculated on the basis of the distribution status of a plurality of data mapped onto a feature space and on whether each of the plurality of inspection areas corresponding to the plurality of data is set in a true or false area. Of the plurality of images to be processed, the images containing the inspection areas corresponding to the boundary pattern data or data near the boundary pattern data are selected as learning images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
