SUBSTRATE FOR SEMI-TRANSMISSION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT AND SEMI-TRANSMISSION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT EQUIPPED WITH THE SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a semi-transmission type liquid crystal display element which can suppress occurrence of display unevenness occurring in the semi-transmission type liquid crystal display element and to provide the semi-transmission type liquid crystal display element equipped with the substrate.

SOLUTION: The semi-transmission type liquid crystal display element 100 is equipped with a transparent substrate 41, a reflection mirror 42 constituted of a high refractive index transparent film 43 and a low refractive index transparent film 44 laminated on the transparent substrate 41 and a liquid crystal section 50 laminated on the reflection mirror 42. The high refractive index transparent film 43 consists of a dielectric compound having a substantially inactive photocatalytic property.
