PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing apparatus and a content repair system, which are capable of simplify analysis of a faulty operation occurring in a disk recorder or the like and repairs of a recorded content.

SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing apparatus includes; a recording and reproducing means 201 for recording and reproduces video signals and audio signals to and from an information recording/reproduction medium; a recording state information generation means 202 for generating recording state information showing a recording state of the information medium; an information determination means 203 for determining the recording state information generated by the recording state information generation means 202 to be normal or abnormal; and an information transmission means 204 for transmitting the recording state information to the outside of the apparatus when the information determination means 203 determines abnormality of the recording state information.
