PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker that reduces baking non-uniformity and has high cooking performance. SOLUTION: This heating cooker comprises a cooking chamber 2 for storing a grill 6 holding a cooked object 3 and a saucer 7 holding the grill 6, a first heating means 4 for heating the cooking object 3 from the upside, a second heating means 5 for heating it from the downside, and a steam supply means 11 for supplying steam into the cooking chamber 2. During a cooking process, steam supplied from the steam supply means 11 flows into a gap between the cooking object 3 and the first heating means 4 or the second heating means 5, part of radiant heat from the first heating means 4 and second heating means 5 is absorbed by the steam, the heat quantity of the radiant heat supplied to the cooking object 3 decreases, and the heat quantity difference between the radiant heat on the surface of the cooking object 3 facing the first heating means 4 and the second heating means 5 and the radiant heat received by the other surface can be decreased. The steam heated by the radiant heat of the first heating means 4 and the second heating means 5 uniformly comes into contact with the cooking object 3, and can heat the cooking object 3 uniformly.
