PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp cutter device for a yarn, holding and cutting a yarn necessary to be cut in a yarn handling process in textile machinery, especially a clamp cutter device achieving high clamp cut success rate in cutting a yarn traveling in drawn state and free from the deterioration of the clamping property. SOLUTION: The clamp cutter device for a yarn is composed of a yarn holding means composed of a plurality of blocks stacked one upon another in the yarn traveling direction to form a continuous yarn path RP to allow the passage of a yarn wherein the multiple stacking blocks contain the 1st and the 2nd slide blocks and the yarn in the yarn path is clamped by shifting the 1st slide block, and a yarn cutting means to cut the yarn by shifting the 2nd slide block.
