PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically move a receiving seat of a conveying lifter without using any special drive unit. SOLUTION: The vehicle body conveying device comprises: hanger arms 11, 12 of a conveying hanger 10 hanging and conveying a vehicle body in an X-axis direction; a lift table 21 of a conveying lifter 20 elevating and receiving the vehicle body that has been hung by the conveying hanger 10; and a receiving sheet position adjusting mechanism 26 adjusting a position of a receiving seat, which supports the vehicle body in an X-axis direction, with respect to the lift table 21. The receiving sheet position adjusting mechanism 26 has a rail 31 supporting the receiving seat and the lift table to be capable of relative displacement in the X-axis direction, and a guide 27 moving the receiving seat with respect to the lift table in an X-axis direction, according to the hanger arm 12 relatively displaced along with moving up of the lift table 21 in a Z-axis direction, so that the receiving seat is automatically moved to a position corresponding to the hanger arm 12.
