PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the cleaning performance of a cleaning member of a paper carrying roller of an image forming device for a long term. SOLUTION: A brush holder 1 capable of reciprocating in parallel with a rotation shaft of a carrying roller 10 is provided. The brush holder 1 stands by in an area which does not oppose to the carrying roller 10 at a normal time when cleaning of the roller 10 is not required. When cleaning is required, the brush holder 1 moves to an area opposite to the carrying roller 10, and a brush 1a attached to the brush holder 1 abuts on a peripheral surface of the rotating carrying roller 10 to remove foreign matter on the peripheral surface of the carrying roller 10. In the area which does not oppose to the carrying roller 10 in a moving path of the brush holder 1, a blade 4 contacting with the brush 1a of the brush holder 1 and scraping off the foreign matter adhered to the brush 1a, and a tank 5 attached to the blade 4 and collecting the foreign matter scraped off by the blade 4 are provided.
