A shift register and a driving method thereof are provided to decrease load applied to scan pulse and to restrict distortion of the scan pulse to the minimum by outputting at least two scan pulses through each stage and separately supplying the scan pulses to a gate line of a liquid crystal panel, the previous stage, and the next stage. A shift register comprises plural stages(300a~300e) subordinately connected with each other. Each stage independently generates first and second scan pulses(Vout1~Voutn+1), supplies the first scan pulse from the present stage to the previous stage and a gate line of a liquid crystal panel at the same time, and feeds the second scan pulse from the present stage to the next stage.
